An updated version of OmniSketch is available on the Apple App Store. This version fixes performance issues on the new iPad.

I’ve submitted a new version of OmniSketch to Apple. This version fixes performance issues on the new iPad. OmniSketch will fully support the new Retina display. It will also have better performance on multi-core processors.
Unfortunately it usually takes about a week to get through the review process.
You will need to have at least version 4.2 of iOS to download this version. Also, posting to Twitter will require iOS 5.0 or higher. OmniSketch will no longer support the 1st generation iPhone and iPod Touch.

Version 1.5.2 I now available in the App Store. This version fixes a bug when running OmniSketch on versions of iOS before iOS 4.0.
Also the next release will include support for multiple drawing layers in your picture. You’ll be able to arrange layers, set the opacity of each layer, set the blend mode of each layer, hide layers, merge layers, copy layers and whatever else I can think of.

Version 1.5.1 fixes a bug with posting pictures to the Online Gallery, Facebook and Twitter. This version also includes a new set of 24 brushes available via In App Purchase for only 99 cents.

This additional set of 24 brushes is available via In App Purchase for 99 cents within the App.
On the brush page just tap to the right of the two dots or swipe to the left on the icons.
These brushes have a geometry theme and and be used to create some really nice effects.

There is a bug in OmniSketch version 1.5 that is preventing pictures from uploading to the online gallery, Facebook and Twitter. This will be fixed in version 1.5.1. Version 1.5.1 has been submitted to Apple and I’ve asked them to expedite it.

OmniSketch version 1.5 has been approved and should be available on iTunes soon. This version was intended to contain an additional set of 24 brushes that you can purchase for 99 cents. Unfortunately I missed a step in submitting the App and the actual In App Purchase isn’t available yet. I’ve already submitted version 1.5.1 that will have the brush set available for purchase.
1.5 does have new, hopefully more intuitive, icons. It also gives you the ability to copy a picture in the gallery.
1.5 only took a couple days to get through Apple’s review process. Hopefully 1.5.1 will get through as quickly.
